At Western School Corporation, student transportation is a team effort. Our drivers, mechanics, staff, administrators, and parents all work together to ensure students travel safely and on time.

All drivers are CDL licensed, CPR/AED certified, and receive annual safety training. Buses are inspected daily before departure, maintained regularly, and undergo a full Indiana State Police inspection each winter. We take pride in the safety and reliability of our fleet.

  • Western School Corporation uses VersaTrans for our transportation information system. This system allows parents to access bus stop locations, bus numbers, and approximate pick-up and drop-off times for their children. Access this information using the instructions below.

    1. Access VersaTrans
    2. Usernames: Enter your child’s student ID number (Visit Skyward if you need forget)
    3. Passwords: Enter your child’s date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy). For example: If your child’s birthday is January 1, 2019, you would enter 01012019
    4. Click “Login”
    5. Click “Students” and then click “View My Students”
    6. You will then click on your child’s name which will take you to a screen displaying your child's bus number, bus stop location, as well as their bus pick-up and drop-off times. 

     

    Please keep in mind that due to road conditions, traffic, and other unforeseen circumstances, these times may vary by a few minutes on either side.

     

  • Western School Corporation uses the Here Comes the Bus mobile app to help keep parents informed and your child safe as they travel to and from school on the bus. You can download the app from the App Store or Google Play. The app allows you to see:

    • A real-time location of your child’s bus on a map
    • Scheduled and actual bus arrival times at home
    • Confirmation that your child’s bus has arrived at the bus stop
    • Push notifications and email alerts when the bus has entered the radius around the home stop and when the bus has a substitute driver

    Download Instructions

    1. Download the Here Comes the Bus mobile app or visit the Here Comes The Bus website
    2. Click “Sign up”
    3. Enter school code: 76803 and click “Next” then click “Confirm”
    4. Complete the “User Profile” box and check “I accept the Terms of Use Agreement” then click “Submit”
    5. Under “My Students” click “Add”
    6. Enter your child’s last name and student ID number
    7. Once you confirm your information, you’re ready to start using the app

    App is only available on iOS and Android devices
